Well, the migraines appear to be improving! Sure, today is Day 20 of this battle, but at least the severity has lessened. I no longer want to chop my head off. That's good, right?

This week has been full of emotions of all sorts.  I hate to draw attention in this way, but this migraine has really been taking a toll on me.  13 days and counting...  I visited a doctor today, so hopefully things will begin to improve over the weekend.

I think I can safely say that I've finally settled in here.  While I was battling my cold a week ago, it was all I could handle to lay on my bed in the dark.  I was a little lonely and sad. But it "broke" at some point last Saturday.  Therefore, this past week has been fantastic!!

This week, I received yes after yes for numerous incredible opportunities.  I'm so used to hearing "no" that I was feeling quite overwhelmed by Tuesday lunchtime.  Let's jump to the beginning.

I decided to switch things up this week and share a "journal entry" that I submitted for my cross-cultural class about the role of technology in my study abroad experience.

So let me start by saying that I haven't gone a single day without hearing about my hair catching on fire. I don't think I will ever live that down. Earlier this week, the study abroad director decided to relive the tale for me (again). Apparently there was a "ball of fire"?? I'm quite thankful that I didn't see it and that I emerged unharmed. This might not be anyone's ideal first impression, but it's memorable and totally a classic Emma move :) At least I can laugh at it! AND, I've managed to avoid fire all week!
